About Lisa Yaconelli

Lisa, our work.shop Director

Lisa Yaconelli has lived in Athens for over twenty years as a performer, dance teacher, community arts advocate, and co-owner of Clocked! restaurant. She holds a BFA degree in dance from Temple University and is certified in Pilates and Social Emotional Arts. She also curates Small Box Series, a multi art quarterly performance series. Her experience as a performing artist in Athens, Ga has given her the perspective that Athens is a great place for artists to create and live, and providing a space for artists to create and generate income is necessary if Athens wants to grow its artist community. The best way to do this is to make sure it’s affordable and easily accessible. That’s the mission of work.shop, to push more art making in Athens by providing an affordable space to create and generate income from one’s creations and talent.
