work.shop is a community space for rehearsals, classes, and performances.
Our mission is to provide an affordable space for performing artists and the community at large to create, share, gather, and be inspired.
work.shop
began in 2021, pivoting from a movement studio with three partners to a mixed use space managed by Lisa Yaconelli. Knowing how difficult it was to create dance and theater works in small spaces, Lisa wanted to make space affordable and created Work.Shop. For five years Work.Shop on Winston Drive provided space for successful groups such as Flying Squid Comedy and Little Characters Theater Group, as well as a rehearsal and performance space for successful plays, bands, poets, dancers, puppeteers, and comedians It has also provided space for community and political gatherings, celebrations, and festivals.
